Movies
Seen in the Theatre
Narnia, Prince
Caspian Mom and I saw
this with friends. We all agreed on two points.
One, it is not suited for young kids since it's main story
line is a battle... from beginning to end. Two, we
just didn't enjoy it. What story there was, was hard
to follow, unless you're a student of The Narnia Chronicals.
Movies
Rented or Bought on DVD
Evening
Meryl Streep, Vanessa Redgrave, and Glen Close make this a
good movie. A dying woman relives part
of her youth while on her death bed. Interesting story
and circumstances. Don't watch it if you're tired.
It might not keep you awake.
Cars
Mom and I are looking for a
new car now that we're only a month and a half from moving
into the new house. We did some shopping at dealers
and found that they would give us a price of $1,000 above
Invoice less any manufacturers rebates. Sounded pretty
good until we went on the Costco website and fed in
what we were looking for. Within an hour a salesman
called and quoted us a price of $100 over Invoice less all
rebates. A difference of $900. We'll update
these comments as soon as we meet with the Costco dealer.
Books
Crucial
Confrontations Patterson, Grenny, McMillan,
Switzler, If you have difficulty entering into
confrontational situations this is for you. I've read
the book several times and I'm helping the people in Summit
County Government improve their skills in this area using
many of the principle contained in the book. The book
helps you discover the situations that must be addressed and
how to confront other people so that problems are solved and
relationships are maintained or improved. It will help
you learn how to keep others accountable.
